Last year the grade 5 & 6 students at Greendale made two books of posters to advertise the theme “Say No to Violence” as their official entry in a No to Violence campaign / contest sponsored by Dawson College. A DVD chronicling the whole process of putting the books together was compiled and submitted as part of the entry package.

Yesterday, it was announced that First prize was awarded to Greendale Elementary School for their two books and accompanying DVD “Toward a World without Violence”, for its teamwork, creativity, well-thought out and expressed messages, and the spirit in which these young people worked.” quoted from school Greendale Elementary announcement
